The Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center (CVEATC) today announced the hiring of George Bauernfeind as Chief Revenue Officer, a newly created position reporting to President & Chief Operating Officer Brian Melekian. “George brings a wealth of revenue generating and marketing experience both in and out of the Olympic and Paralympic space,” said Melekian. “We sought long and hard during this process for the right fit and are beyond thrilled for George to join the team and begin the next phase of our development”.
Bauernfeind joins CVEATC from USA Pickleball where he served as Chief Marketing Officer for the dynamic and rapidly-growing brand. In that role he led Sales & Marketing, including a brand relaunch and growing the partnership portfolio. Prior to that, he led BP’s Team USA Olympic & Paralympic programs for the London, Sochi and Rio Games encompassing over 300 events including Olympic Fantasy Camps at Chula Vista.
George currently serves on USA Triathlon’s Marketing Committee and will be based at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. In this new role, George will lead the sales and marketing team to drive business growth across all customer segments, build brand awareness and grow strategic partnerships.

George earned his undergraduate degree in Business from Indiana University and an MBA from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. He is married to Susie his college sweetheart and they have two sons John and Zach.
