The Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, a U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site, is excited to announce a new partnership with Aramark to lead the facility ground management program starting April 1, 2022.
The Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center is an expansive, 150 -sports performance center that includes 7 natural grass fields for sports like soccer, rugby, track and field, ultimate frisbee and flag football. The training center hosts teams, athletes, coaches and trainers who expect the best field playing conditions, along with the residential, dining hall and multiple additional sport facilities for track and field, rowing, volleyball and archery.

Aramark is bringing into the facility new state of the art John Deere equipment, a scientific approach to turf management, incorporating agronomist consultation, quarterly soil sampling of the turf and a satellite-drawn grounds inventory map to help schedule work.

The team will be led by a Sports Turf & Grounds manager, combined with an irrigation expert and a crew of 5 to care for common grounds areas, mowing and care of sports turf. Aramark’s arborists will also provide tree trimming services at the facility.
