Chula Vista, CA – The City of Chula Vista’s nickname is “The City of Champions” and the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center is at the center of it. On any given day at the CVEATC, you can find athletes from all over the world training day in and day out to make their Olympic Dreams a reality.
With the Paris 2024 Olympics less than one year out, and the LA 2028 Olympics right around the corner, the CVEATC expects to be busier than ever within the next few years. The following is a news clip from NBC 7 San Diego featuring CVEATC President and COO, Brian Melekian, USA Heptathlete Annie Kunz, USA Decathlete Harrison Williams, and U-19 Beach Volleyball players Ashley Pater and Myriah Massey as they talk about their preparations leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
About the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center
The Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center rests on a 155-acre complex adjacent to Lower Otay Reservoir. The Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center has sport venues and support facilities for more than a dozen summer Olympic and Paralympic sports, and cross-training abilities for various winter sports. The CVEATC offers support to athletes including housing, dining, training facilities, local transportation, recreational facilities, athlete services and professional development programs. Typically, elite athletes are selected to train here by their respective sport federation or National Governing Body.
