Chula Vista, CA – In the lead-up to the historic inaugural Women’s Gold Cup, the Dominican Republic Women’s National Soccer Team embarked on a transformative training camp at the esteemed Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center (CVEATC). From February 8th to February 15th, 2024, “The Quisqueyanas,” as they are affectionately known, immersed themselves in a week-long regimen aimed at elevating their performance on the international stage.
With a total attendance of 34 individuals, comprising both athletes and staff members, the Dominican Republic team utilized the world-class facilities of CVEATC to meticulously prepare for the pinnacle event held at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles, CA, and Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, CA.
This marked the first-ever training camp for “The Quisqueyanas” at CVEATC, signifying a significant milestone in their journey towards athletic excellence. During their stay, the team had exclusive access to a range of amenities tailored to meet their training needs and foster optimal performance.

In addition, the team benefited from the state-of-the-art strength and conditioning center, where they engaged in targeted workouts designed to enhance their physical capabilities and endurance.
Recognizing the importance of recovery in maintaining peak performance, the Dominican Republic team availed themselves of the Sports Therapy Room, where they indulged in rejuvenating ice baths to soothe tired muscles and prevent injury.
Nutritional excellence was also a cornerstone of the training camp, with the team enjoying balanced meals served in the dining hall for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. These carefully curated meals provided the necessary fuel to sustain the athletes throughout their demanding training sessions.
Furthermore, the CVEATC provided comfortable overnight accommodations in their dormitories, ensuring that “The Quisqueyanas” had the opportunity to rest and recharge between rigorous training routines.
As the training camp drew to a close, the Dominican Republic Women’s National Soccer Team departed CVEATC with newfound confidence and readiness to showcase their talent on the grand stage of the Women’s Gold Cup.
